No music yesterday. I did go to Buds Broiler with my family. So, that was good. Giants beat the Rockies, another plus. I have jury duty this month, first day was today. Got released after a very long voir dire. This is going to be a long month of jury service, because I'm probably not going to be selected for a jury since I am a lawyer, but I still have to show up.

Anyone thinking about going to the show at Nowe Miasto tomorrow night? White Boss and Son Skull? I'm hoping to, but who knows, I get tired.

Do you like the first Avail LP, Bryan? I think that's my number 1, then Dixie, then 4 a.m.

As for Screeching Weasel, that My Brain Hurts is a flawless album. I have a good alternate version of that song Slogans on a comp EP somewhere in my stacks.

It's a comp called "There's a Fungus Amongus," right? I don't think I've heard that version, but Jonathan might have it. I definitely would like to hear it; I'll have to do some digging. And agreed on the album as a whole. It might be my favorite SW.

Jury duty for a month? Wow.

I like some songs off Satiate, but it's my second-to-least favorite after Front Porch Stories. I'm more 4am Friday then Dixie then Over the James then One Wrench (and I could do without a few songs off that one).

I'm probably going to touch that Nowe show tomorrow.

Yes, that's the comp. Dopey record nerd trivia, the comp was put out by Martin of Los Crudos, etc. Pre-Lengua Armada.

I should be clear that while jury duty is for a month, it only requires showing up for two days a week.

I stopped buying Avail records after Over The James, but I did still go see them whenever they went through wherever I was living.

First of all, buds is the shit.

Second, throughout the last 15 years, whenever shit is going a certain, specific kind of horrible, I just proceed to the break-in-case-of-emergency section of my record collection and pull out damaged by black flag. Its really the only thing that can get the job done, but it gets the job done perfectly.
What do they know about partying, or anything else?

There was nothing more enjoyable than driving around the country side of Virginia listening to Dixie.

Good choice, particularly the song "What I See."
