Criminal Damage s/t LP
His Hero Is Gone "15 Counts of Arson" LP

Not much to report. Jury duty yesterday was a pain in the ass. Wednesday is supposed to be my last day.

Here I will pose a question:

What was your first punk show?

And a second question, your first non local band punk show (if different from the above).

1) It was a long time, for me, between listening to punk and seeing a show. I knew my dad wouldn't drive me to the VFW on Franklin so I never bothered asking and I didn't have friends that drove. The first show I saw was at Teasers Teen Club on Causeway and was the Shell Shock "More Gore" record release. I bought the tape. I knew my dad would drive me to that show.

2) First out of town band show, I am pretty sure, was a year later, maybe even more, the Cro Mags on the Best Wishes tour. I think I saw a few other shows that summer with out of town bands including Corrupted Morals.

Started season five of DEXTER. So good. Finally finished LATRO OF THE MIST, another great Gene Wolfe novel.

First punk show: HEAD PRO at the Hines Fair in Lakeview. They did at least one RANCID cover and a NOFX one too.

First punk show with a touring band: Does NO DOUBT opening for BUSH and the GOO GOO DOLLS count? I guess there was something random at the Faubourg Center, or it could've even been AVAIL. Maybe SUICIDE MACHINES, WESTON, CUB, and SUPAFLIES at The Angel?

My first punk show was definitely at the Abstract Cafe. It was either to see DANG BRUH Y? or BODYBAG SLAM (or some other nonsense) but my first ever out-of-town punk show I'm pretty sure was SCHLONG, PLAID RETINA and ZOE TURNCOAT at the abstract. I bought a "We're Here, Drink Beer, Get Used to it" t-shirt. My mom had to explain the meaning behind it.

Patrick! I played your first punk show with TEMPLETON PECK, a band I was in for a minute with Andy from INDIGNATION. We opened that show at Underground Sounds (we weren't that good).

I am old (But Tom is older).
