ELLIOTT SMITH - New Moon lp
LE TIGRE s/t lp
WEEZER - Pinkerton lp

Did anyone see that that Weezer is reissuing Pinkerton with an extra 25 tracks? It's mostly live and demo stuff on the second cd, but the first disc has all the b-sides. Tommy told me they're doing vinyl for it too.

Weezer is all doing a tour where they play two shows in a single city, the first nigth doing the Blue Album in its entirety, the second night doing Pinkerton.

Paintbox "Singing, Shouting, Crying" LP

There are a few bands / performers that I'd like to see the album gimmick from live. Randy Newman playing all of "Good Old Boys" front to back would be awesome. Cock Sparrer doing "Shock Troops." Crossed Out doing their EP.

The Replacements - Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out The Trash (twice); Pleased to Meet Me; Hootenanny; Tim; Let It Be

I heard about all that Weezer business. I wonder what's going to be on that Pinkerton re-issue that hasn't been released already between any available b-sides and Rivers' Alone recordings? The fact that their latest release is named after a character from Lost sort of sealed the deal for me that they've completely given up and I was right in having filed them under "Pretend They Broke Up."

Weezer Reveal Pinkerton Reissue Details

Double-disc edition of the band's 1996 cult classic coming this fall

Weezer Reveal Pinkerton Reissue Details

Weezer's 1996 sophomore album Pinkerton, a frustrated tangle of confused lyrics and insidious power-pop hooks, didn't do so well when the band first released it, but now it's in heavy competition with the band's self-titled debut for the title of Everyone's Favorite Weezer Album. And on November 2, DGC/UMe will release Pinkerton as a double-disc deluxe reissue, with 25 bonus tracks alongside the original album. We've got the tracklist below.

The reissue includes every one of the album's B-sides, as well as 16 previously unreleased songs, including a number of live tracks. The package will also include a booklet with photos and an essay from band friend Karl Koch.

In keeping with the nostalgia trend, Weezer have announced the "Memories" tour this fall. They'll play two shows in every city; at the first, they'll play the "Blue Album" in its entirety, and they'll play Pinkerton at the second (along with various hits at both shows). The band already scheduled shows in L.A. and San Francisco, and now they've announced on their website that they've added a pair of Boston shows: December 14-15 at the Orpheum Theatre.
