CLOROX GIRLS/this dimension - poppy portlanders give us full-length #2.
this time colin from the observers plays bass and owns that shit.ok,let me drop it like this 1)i like it,its fun and punk, vocals are good, musics good.
2)i like the first one better, only due to the production, which sucks b/c the songs are really good, just sounds too compressed or something.3)w/ that said,i still listen to it all the time.maybe you would too?SMARTGUY

PISSED JEANS/shallow lp- i was really looking forward to this b/c i liked the 45 soooo much.this has a slightly different sound.maybe this isnt as noisy.anyway, they sound sort of like flipper mixed w/ jesus lizard i guess.
but they totally have there own sound.and they have lyrics like,"theres only one type of girl on my mind, shes always on my mind,oh id love to kiss those boring girls." this is a shortend version(im at work,no lyric sheet)the whole thing is alot funnier, but i had to mention it.i mean its a song about how this guy wishes one day he'll meet his boring girl.its sweet and sad.and genius.if you like the bands i mentioned before,or stuff thats kind of like it .go get this.in the mail.(damn we need a record store.)PARTS UNKNOWN(oh yeah, gatecrasher members)

REGULATIONS- this has people from e.t.a.,the dead ones and probably more.sounds kinda like those bands but over-all not as fast, and the guitar is less distorted.sort like nervous breakdown/lexicon devil/minor threat/garage/kbd type of stuff(sorry about that, but i aint backspacin).theyve been around for a couple years.did 2 7"s,then an lp and now they just put out the 7"s on cd w/ 7 awesome new songs(which i like the best of all).i think they get better w/ age.from reading other reviews some people seem to think the opposite.one of my favorite new bands.buy it all.HAVOC/BUSTED HEADS.

GUESS I SHOULD GO BACK TO WORK.THIS TOOK LONGER THAN I THOUGHT.UM,JUST GOT LOTS AND LOTS OF STUFF IN THE MAIL AND ALOT I JUST HAVENT DONE YET.TONS OF REVIEWS SOON.COMPUTER TIME HAS BEEN AN ISSUE IN THE HOUSEHOLD(SCHOOL STUFF).BARE WIT ME. BYE-PHILLIP

LISTEN TO CRO-MAGS "BEFORE THE QUARREL" IN THE MORNING.ITS NICE.

Oh, also, I think Regulations are a million times better than ETA and the Dead Ones. The Regulations have hooks and memorable songs and do a fantastic job of recreating early LA punk.

hey tom, hell yeah the regulations are better.i mean,i do like the other bands, but the regulations are a timeless masterpiece of magic.i like them alot.

usually get stuff from:
www.buycrime.com -sometimes really fast,sometimes not(probably due to backorder though).great selection though.nice people.

www.cahrecords.com - super fast all the time.good for crusty and random hardcore stuff.
