Burnt by the Sun - Soundtrack to the Personal Revolution LP
Facedown - Beyond All Horizons LP
The Gossip - Arkansas Heat 10"
Batillus side of the Batillus/Hallowed Butchery split LP
Alice in Chains - Jar of Flies + Sap + Last Action Hero Soundtrack + rando s/t

Mystic Inane + Small Bones - live

Watched The Virgin Suicides and caught up on my shows. Watched a little X-Files. Hung some plants on my porch. Maybe a coupe of flyers at kinkos.

Adults - demo
Eddy Current Suppression Ring - s/t; Primary Colors
Duran Duran - Decade
Deathhammer - Onward To The Pits
Dear Landlord - Dream Homes
Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables
Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today
Guided By Voices - Alien Lanes; Bee Thousand

Choi Wolf/Mailbomber at the practice space
Mystic Inane/Small Bones at Big Top
Heat Dust/Lovey Dovies at Allways

Busy weekend full of shows. Show at the practice space ended up going really great, and the space worked really well. Matinee show was fun, lots of people there. Adults jumped on the show at Allways last night, and it went pretty well. I'm getting really into playing 6 song sets.

Posted this elsewhere but I'll post it here too - The Brave Companions EP is up: http://thebravecompanions.bandcamp.com/

Boston Strangler - Primitive
Hoax - demo
Broken Water - all
Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left
Pygmy Lush - Mount Hope
Conan - Horseback Battle Hammer
Carrion - Crime of Idle Hands

That Conan record is one of the few newer heavy records this jaded doomster can rock. Pretty repetitive, and not breaking much new ground, but still good.
Hadn't listened to that Carrion record since it came out, wow! Kickass album.

Small Bones + Punk Rock Cabaret - live
Decent turnout. Playing the Big Top is always weird, even if it is a great space. Russell's red beans were pretty bangin', new twist on an old favorite.

Adults + Heat Dust + Lovey Dovies @ Allways
Almost decent turnout. The bands were great. Sound guy definitely needs to step his game up, though.

Forgot about Choi Wolf. They weren't as hardcore as I expected. Maybe a little too melodic. And they'd probably do well with a singer and more serious lyrics.

Missed Adults twice! Wish I had been able to hang on Friday, but my podnah wasn't feeling it. And I'm NEVER feeling bar shows anymore. Why do people even still do those?

Burn - s/t EP
Merchandise mp3s
Giants v. Diamondbacks
Wrecked - movie

Wrecked would have been fine as a 30-45 minute short movie.

Yea, the Choi Wolf recordings sounded way thrashier than what they played live. Still enjoyed them, though.

It's no secret that everyone hates Adults, Bryan! I just wish you'd make a hilarious Hatemonger rant about our contrived sound and boring 90s aesthetic, though.

Big Top was fun, dayquil daze and all.
Surprised at the lack of difference between new and old small bones. Nice to see them.
Left w/ steven and drew for a few minutes and missed the other thing.
Felt bad for the pickle guy.
